Top Things Wedding Planner Should Pen Down Before Designing Your Dream Wedding

During the time of a wedding, many go laid back and let the family people take charge of arrangements while some make efforts by themselves to make it memorable not just for self but for everyone surrounding them.
Nowadays, people are more creative with wedding decor and production. They tend to look for best wedding planners and event organizers for the arrangements. And, of course, a colossal lifetime affair requires the best team and fellows to work on it.
So, whenever you talk to a wedding planner or wedding designer make sure, the respective person should ask twice or thrice about your personal touch that you might require for your fairytale wedding.
Here are a few of the concerns that your hired wedding planner should write down before designing your dream wedding setup and overall preparations.

Your idea for presenting wedding

The plan for a perfect wedding is on everyone’s mind no matter what! Either a groom or a bride, couples do have some imagination for their wedding. Well! Your wedding planner should know that they need to be quite creative to make your event unique. And, every couple loves to do things differently while going out of the box with the themes and production.
So, work it up with your pro-planners to include your form of active participation like playing games at Roka ceremony, or having a boho style for Mehendi Ceremony. This will automatically turn up the excitement of your guests that what’s going to happen next?

Couple’s pinch of style

Do you prefer a millennial style setup and decor with eco-friendly and fuss-free options or classic-hearted royal traditional look for your wedding design? Every couple has their level of personal touch and experiment, which defines their sense of style. And, the way you like to live with your partner shared in designs and wedding presentation goes appealing to make your D-day talk of the town.

Your thought for a color scheme or a theme

An idea of theme wedding can be quite beautiful, but it may sound like a lot to some. So, how about having themes for specific ceremonies like Sangeet, Cocktail Party, or Mehendi. Multiple color schemes and preferences for the decor can let the planner decide what will be the best theme for wedding and vice versa.
If you are confused with the things, browse Pinterest and have a word with your event planner for the same.

Your life stories, relationship and love moments with your partner are not known to your wedding planner, right! So, it’s apparent that you need to tell them first if you are looking to personalize your wedding celebrations. How you guys met, how the beginning was, what you liked about each other, love for foods, cultural backgrounds, and musical preferences that you both share, et cetera!

And keep trust! The more your planner knows about you guys, the more happening things they can make it up for your wedding. Moreover, this will also add better chances to execute some of the crucial parts of the arrangements and would bring the actual celebration that you have envisioned so far.

Do’s & Don’ts When Plan For A Destination Wedding

destination wedding

DO’s

1. Choose a convenient venue:

All things is based on where your majority of guests are coming from, decide a venue where transportation facility easily available. Your guests will have more fun when they arrive happily.

2. Box your stuff in advance:

Wrap your wedding costume, accessories, makeup, shoes, well in advance so that you do not forget anything. Carry these stuff yourself or ask somebody you trust.

3. Find local gifts for your guests:

You choose your destination place for a reason – so reflect the destination by finding little gems from the area to give to guests.

4. Wedding Venue Visit:

Do visit the hotel/resort at least once before the wedding to get an idea of the venue, finalize decor & to understand possible matters (like traffic, distance, accommodations from hotel etc.) so that you can work them around.

5. Give your guests a heads up:

When you’re planning a destination wedding, it is completely critical to give your guests as much advance information as possible. This means sending out save the dates or a link to your personal wedding website at least 5-6 months before, so that they can have enough time to plan their travel and holiday time. Formal invitations should go out 1-2 months before.

DON’TS

1. Wait until the last minute to send your invitations:

You need extra time when planning a destination wedding. Your guest should get at least 3 months information so they can book their accommodations, holidays, get a sitter planned etc.

2. Expect that everyone will come:

Nearly every bride planning a destination wedding stresses about the same thing – will anyone show? No matter how much you stress, you cannot control who will come or not.  Hopefully the people you care about the most will be there.  But trust me (and nearly every destination bride before you) when we tell you that at the day of your wedding you will be so caught up in the moment and will be having so much fun that you won’t care about who didn’t make it.

3. Leave people without directions:

Do not assume people know where they are going. Some people aren’t 100% comfortable travelling to a place they’ve never been. Instead – make it easy on them by providing them written message beyond the invitation with maps and directions. Also, make sure each guest gets a welcome bag with repeated itineraries and how to get to all place.

4. Save on photography:

When it’s all said and done, your photos will capture the memories in a way nothing else can.  Pictures will be the only thing you have to forever remember the day by.  Do you want to look past at photos and recall about how wonderful and amazing your destination wedding was, how much fun your guests where having, how much love was in the air? Or do you want to look past and remorse not having the quality pictures you could possibly afford. When organising a destination wedding, you should book finest photographer for your wedding.

5. Worry:

Remember that something will go wrong. It happens to everybody! You have to roll with the punches and enjoy every moment.  You’ll set the tone for the special day.  If you’re having fun, your guests will too.  If you’re not enjoying yourself, they won’t either.

How to choose a Wedding Planner

how to choose a wedding planner, wedding planner udaipur, wedding planner jaipur, wedding planner in jodhpur

When you planning your dream wedding, there are several things to think of and take care of, that getting a professional to help you and ensure you have a perfect day is a must!  We share 5 tips about choosing a wedding planner, who to hire and what to expect:

TIP 1: WEDDING PLANNER

Wedding Planners are involved in the earlier planning aspects and make the game-plan for your wedding. They include location searching and help build and update budgets and planning agendas. They seek out your best event partners and attend meetings to confirm that everybody is speaking the same language. They will analysis your event partner contracts before signing to ensure that all is as desired. They arrange one-to-one planning meetings and help you along the way. Some wedding planners also provide costume services, helping with the creative specifics of your wedding day, while others opt to leave those details to a costume designer.

We advise a planner for any wedding that involves bringing in a heavy logistics day (meaning, you have to bring everything in from a light bulb to a fork). There are lots of moving parts with preparation, that having someone manage the budget and build an effective team for you wins 1/2 the battle.

TIP 2: TRUST IS EVERYTHING

When selecting a wedding planner, it is important to catch somebody that you completely trust and get along well with.  This person will be responsible for turning your dream wedding into a real wedding and has a lot of control over where your money gets spent. Choose cleverly! Remember that throughout your planning time, you will be meeting them often, going places together and emailing back and forth, so it is important that your personalities compliment one another. Make an appointment to meet them face-to-face to check if their style suits yours. It’s almost like dating all over again!

TIP 3: UNDERSTAND EXPECTATIONS

After you have found your wedding planner, sit down with them and go over your agreement openly, point by point and in person. Every planner is different and some are ready to do more and some less. Make sure that you each know exactly what you are expecting, so that there are no dissatisfactions later on. Be honest your planner can only help you if they know exactly what you want. Communication is everything!

TIP 4: WHAT IS YOUR PERSONALITY

The major downfall I have seen in customers is that there is so much information online which can send couples for a tizzy, impeding the opportunity to make final decisions.

  • If you find yourself uncertain about choices and overwhelmed by the availability of information, hire a planner to streamline concepts and possibilities.
  • If you are a full time employee and only have after hours and week-ends to give to wedding planner, hire a planner to assist doing some of the footwork with vendors for you.

Usually wedding planners will offer complete packages that include some planning meetings and phone calls to help ensure you are making the right decisions and entertaining the appropriate options for your D-day. Fairly, they become a wedding-therapist and ensure you don’t suffer from sleepless nights.

TIP 5: KEEP A CHECKLIST

Don’t expect your wedding planner to have all the details and notes. Write things down along the planning so that when you have check-ins and meetings you are well planned and ideas can be flushed out smoothly.
